Chaintech av710

AT doesn't have image support.

I'm not sure what you're trying to do here.
If you have a receiver and you're connected digitally for DVD movies, why do you care what setting the analog out is set to?

did u see the pic it says enable spdif 7.1 channel and you cannot select that it sasy 7.1 is not available with spdif or womething like that
thnx jello
also i found out there is like no 7.1 dvds there is 6.1 discrete and all that but no 7.1!
im hooking it up to my reciever since my ps2 cannot play alot of dvds and i have svideo out on my card so its pretty much like my htpc

I think it's saying you can't select AC3 passthrough while the card is in 7.1 analog mode.

These are different drivers than I was using for the card.

Try selecting 2channel at the bottom for analog output and then selecting SPDIF out enable and AC3/PCM auto select in the Digital Out control.

Do you have a 7.1 speaker setup? Try putting in a DVD and see if your receiver is in DDEX mode. That's what my old HK did when I had the Chaintech doing my AC3 output. I never had 7.1 analog selected but my whole 7.1 speaker set would play for DVDs I played.

thanks jello i do have the onkyo 7.1 system im always talkin about lol but i will try that with the cave or w/e new movie that is i havent tried that stuff becuz my old dvd burner wouldnt fit in my new case but anyway tonight i will try some options
