CES

This is how long I've been in the biz...

I haven't been to CES (or CEDIA) in years. And I don't care. It's a waste of time. After a while this industry takes on the air of religion. Everybody's product has some unique thing that makes them better than everyone else. Lutheran > Catholic > Baptist > Muslim > Mormon > Whatever...

It's a business. Your store has the license to sell a product that competes against another similar product sold by another store. In order to survive you have you convince people that your product is better than the product available at the other store... That or you conceed that the products are more or less the same and you sell your store, it's service and expertise over the other store(s) in your area.

Gah... 32 more days and I retire from this business and move on to other things.
