Hello. My name's Matt and I've been a long time lurker here. However, I found myself in a jam and needed to get myself a username.

I've been assigned to write an article for the Wisconsin Engineer Magazine--A student run organization at the University of Wisconsin-Madison-- about the 2007 CES. Searching around this town with few leads and little knowledge on where to look I can't find anybody that actually attended. One of the recommendations was that I find somebody who attended the show and give a brief interview on their thoughts and reactions to the show.

So I come here asking that if anybody attended the CES and would be willing to take part in some sort of interview (telephone, instant messenger, ventrillo, even answering a few questions in an email) it would be greatly appreciated.

PM me if you care to help me out. Here's the link to our website if you're interested in seeing whether or not it is worth your time. Wisconsin Engineer

Thanks,

Matt

I'm sure a few people did, although I couldn't make it this year...but I would honestly suggest emailing the people at engadget and seeing if one of their staff would be willing to do it. They had a large representation at the show with top-notch coverage. I'm sure someone could spare 5-10 minutes out of his day to help you.

Good luck!

besides location and the academics involved, why else would you consider going to this school?

I went, and there was nothing special there. try looking at some blogs like scobleizer and gear live and engadget for coverage.

Well I live in Milwaukee and am going to school for chemical engineering. It seemed like the obvious choice. Instate tuition and a very good program.

+1...

And I'll take to a few of your suggestions to head to engadget tomorrow.
