Personally, I think the whole quad SLi is absurd overkill at this time. The performance increase is NOT worth the price.

And since when has SLI been "worth the price"? Its a niche market.

Btw, the system actually uses a total of 850W of power. Thats 850W sustained power draw.

Linking an article in the AT forum to one that exists on the AT home page? Heh, that's kinda weird...

Anyway, I really liked the article. It's bookmarked and I've sent the link to a few friends already. Dell's got some new and exciting stuff coming out, though I think that extreme rig is going to cost way more than its worth. Diminishing returns on price/performance hit hard at that extreme cost level.

The Intel Presler cores are going to be interesting to watch. I'm looking forward to AT reviews on them -- are there reviews already, anyone?

The Dell 30" LCD makes me smile.

Some of the newer technology seems somewhat useless to me, but wasn't it a long time ago that Bill Gates said there was no use for hard drive space over 1MB, or something to that effect?

Damn I hate dell so much. Hopefully we all can figure out how to outperform his crap new toy.

I will seriously throw-up in my own mouth if it is a pentium based system.

BTW, what is up with the 150 10k rpm WD hard drives? Are those dell exclusive too? Lol.

No the 150 drives are the new Raptors, they should be available to the public shortly.
