"Corporate India is in shock after a mob of sacked workers bludgeoned to death the chief executive who had dismissed them from a factory in a suburb of Delhi.

Lalit Kishore Choudhary, 47, the head of the Indian operations of Graziano Transmissioni, an Italian-headquartered manufacturer of car parts, died of severe head wounds on Monday afternoon after being attacked by scores of laid-off employees, police said."

This won't bode well for future economic development in India if this type of mob rule becomes more frequent. Although I think there is an issue with worker safety, especially in the third world where there aren't many laws and standards to protect workers. Hopefully problems can be addressed without having to resort to clubbing CEOs.

If one CEO takes note and realizes his workers are more important than any bonus the CEO receives for firing them, its will be one more avoidance for the personal accountability this guy fairly or unfairly paid.

My sympathy usually lies with the workers.

I don't wish to diminish the value of any human life, but workers are viewed as disposable by many employers, particularly in developing countries. Interesting to see this happening.

You are an interesting bean, so a mob beats someone to death, and you say he probably deserved it. Oh well, Ok

I think the lesson learned from this will be to buy more cheap security authorized to do things most of us would never consider even our dirty cops doing.

I certainly do not agree with the course of action that this mob took, but I find it just as interesting as you do.

Seriously, we need to feed them to sharks.

Televised, of course.
