Centurion 5 Case w/ Window - $46 Newegg

I dont get it...whats so great about this case?

edit: Im in the market for a new case but I cant see the benefits of this one. What makes it such a hot deal?

The Cooler Master Centurion 5 is a decent mid-tower ATX case. You get more external 5.25" bays than you need (5), one external 3.5" bay, and 4 internal 3.5" bays. The case is relatively attractive, and it comes with a tool-less drive mounting mechanism for all the drive bays. It also includes a 120mm rear fan, and you can add an optional 80mm front fan. The case is also available with a side window if you want to spend an extra $10. Finally, the case has front USB, FireWire, headphone, and microphone jacks. It's easy to work with, relatively quiet, and well made.

Cases are heavy and bulky. Normal shipping cost for this case is around ~$17. Free Shipping + Rebate make for ~$27, or ~%37 savings.

For the price range there isn't a better choice. Perhaps the Antec NSK4400 but it comes with an Antec 380W PSU, and totals ~$88 shipped.
 
I don't 'get' this case with a side window. It's conservative good looks (especially, for me, with the blue sides) don't really mesh with ultraviolet ricer mentality of side windows. I mean, where's the whale-tail spoiler and teh decals? :roll:

I have this case and it cools quite well despite the fact that the intake fan is 80mm. I replaced the 120mm exhaust fan with a Thermaltake 120mm. The Cooler Master fan that it comes with is terrible and sometimes doesn't spin up when your PC boots (haven't had any issues with the 80mm). The front of the case instead of being solid is actually a metal mesh which allows air to be sucked into the front of the case quite efficiently.

It's definitely a good case for the $. I'm happy with it.
 
damn, I missed the deal, the rebate and free shipping would've made it super hot. Guess, I'll wait for the next one day sale.

The rebate's still there, just no free shipping. Still a good deal just not as fantastic as it was.
 
This case is not aluminium like the newegg site says...its going back...Theiving punks..

intresting now the site doesnt say aluminium it just says aluminuim bezel and the rebate is missing and newegg just told me they cant provide me with the rebate...I have never had this kind of service out of new egg

It says aluminum bezel, SECC chassis. SECC is steel.

but when I bought it It said Just Aluminium...thats jacked. I love newegg never ever had a problem and I will continue to shop there...atleast its not costing me anything to send it back. Thats messed up though.
 
Newegg is no longer the price leader and is certainly not the company it used to be. I no longer shop there. Even the reviews seem tampered. Some of them look like they were written by Newegg.
