For someone who spends as much time talking about American government as you do, I'm not sure how you have managed to stay so completely ignorant of how it actually works.
He could easily get Congress to ratify the proposed agreement by simply majorities in each chamber of Congress. Executive agreements are dangerous.
Do you just enjoy hysteria?
No, I'm just a dumbass.

He doesn't have to talk about it to the American people, he could just make an executive agreement with the U.N.

Treaties do not superseded the Constitution.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reid_v._Covert
Reid v. Covert, 354 U.S. 1 (1957), was a landmark United States Supreme Court case in which the Court ruled that the Constitution supersedes international treaties ratified by the United States Senate. According to the decision, "this Court has regularly and uniformly recognized the supremacy of the Constitution over a treaty,"

The president can not enter into a treaty without the treaty being ratified by the senate.

Even if the president enters into a treaty, and the treaty is ratified by the senate, the treaty can not superseded the Constitution.

as a long time gun owner and 2A proponent, the only thing about this treaty that might worry me, is my ability to buy Glocks (Austrian), H&K (German), Berettas (Italian), and any number of Yugo/China/Romanian ex com-block assault rifles.

Otherwise, Obama ain't planning on doing shit about gun control.

According to Dick Morris, President Obama is going to commit political suicide three and a half months before the general election and you believe him...

...do you reply to Nigerian Generals who ask for your help getting money out of their country?

And his obamacare POS wasnt suicide?

To talk about banning guns would be political suicide.

He cant talk about being socialist, but he still acts upon his desires.

The link above explains it all. If it wasn't gun control, then why would they go through the effort to do anything?

While on the surface removing gun ownership from citizens sounds like a great idea, the problem is it means that the only people who would have guns are the criminals and the people in power. That is a much scarier proposition than the current situation is.

Obviously the UN is trying to disarm this country for a reason, and that reason probably has to do with the overthrow of our government and enslavement of our people by the authoritarian global bank leaders that already pulled an economic coup on America. Of course this entire scenario is getting into the conspiracy theory end of the pool, but if our leaders accept this it means they have betrayed us to the rest of the world.....without a doubt.

Have any of you heard about the October event that the police and military have been training together in preparation for? I ran across a clip on Youtube about it and found it highly fascinating that people are reporting this happening all over the country. I wonder if this is what they are training for? That would mean we are probably about to have our second Civil War if that is true, and I'm really worried about it because I have 3 young kids that depend on me.

Here is the clip:
