There is a good chance that something similar to this happened here. This guy likely witnessed something that the perpetrator did not want revealed to the world (drug deal or worse).

I suspect that he stumbled onto a meth lab somewhere and was killed for it. Perhaps a "Hillbilly Heroin" distribution ring, although those don't have the outward signs that a meth lab would.

This happened two weeks ago. If this was a simple suicide (not belittling the man's death,) then the investigation wouldn't be still going on, and the FBI wouldn't still be involved.
