Race exists, biologically. Sickle cell anemia, higher rates of breast cancer among Eastern European Jews... these things don't just happen randomly. Once you learn that differences don't equal inequality, then it's not too hard to acknowledge that there are differences between races, but they are incredibly small (here is the problem... people who fight to deny the existence of race are fighting the conception that these are big or important differences, I think) and more importantly they just DON'T MATTER. In addition, as humanity is now free to move all over and have kids with whomever they want... the racial distinctions will start to blur. Being different is good, otherwise life would be boring for all of us.

Sociologists are not scientists. If they are the only people who believe in race then...

How can anyone not "believe in race" the way it is generally understood by most people. If "race" is the wrong word to use, who gives a sh*t. You know what it means.

It doesn't matter what race means biologically. Race has effects in society whether or not you're too liberal or conservative to see that.

OK so I was watching Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn last night, at 11:30, and apparently every time they say the N word they are bleeped. However, Chappelle's show, which normally airs at 10:30, is allowed to say it over and over again without being bleeped. There was even a whole skit where they just say it over and over. What's the deal? Same network?? Is it cause the host of the show isn't black?

Yes.
