Cendyne 32x CDRW and 16x DVD (both Lite-Ons) from OM. Final cost for both is $99.90 (plus sales tax if any)

Though the OM 24x CD-RW / 16x DVD deal has been posted I could not find this particular one so...

OM B&M (online maybe?): 32x12x40x CD-RW @109.95 plus 16x/40x DVD @49.95 = $159.90 - $30 with '30 off 150' printable coupon = $129.95 + tax - a $30 MIR for the CD-RW. Final cost for both is $99.90.

I installed both drives today and they are both Lite-Ons. In as much as I was preparing to get this same combo from Newegg for $152 shipped this strikes me as a pretty good deal.

Where did you find the $10 rebate for the CenDyne DVD-ROM? There is no rebate form on their web site and there's no mention of a rebate in their weekly in-store ad, just a price cut down to $49.99 and no one who has brought this DVD drive in the store has said that they received a rebate with there purchase. What's the date on the rebate? Also I called my local OfficeMax for a price check and was told that the price was $129.99 for the CenDyne 32x drive not $109.99. Maybe this is a local sale, only in your area.

I printed the rebate forms out from the OM website yesterday. The form says that this is and "OM/Cendyne Rebate Offer #3085-86 & 3105". It says the rebates are good for Cendyne CD-RW/DVD-RW drives purchased at OM between 3/31/02 and 4/28/02. The rebates for the CD-RWs are as follows: 24x-$20, 32x and 40x-$30. The OM manager that rang up my sale told me that the DVD drive had a $10 rebate and gave me a book of OM rebates saying that the DVD rebate was inside. I have not checked the booklet out yet.

The Cendyne 32x CD-RW was listed as $129 on the shelf but rang up at $109. The manager did not indicate that this was a "local" sale. The store is in Orlando if that helps.

There's no rebate on the DVD drive. The price of the 32X burner is 129.99 at my OM.

Um, no offense, Poliphili, but before you waste too much more time of people reading this post (and before you scan something else, make another post that bumps this thread, etc.), how about you take the 10 seconds to actually open the booklet?

I assume that there is no rebate--which is fine, but you need to adjust your thread title and initial post.

Umm yeah. Were it not for the fact that I left the booklet at work I would have done so. Perhaps tomorrow, hmm. Worst case scenario is $99 for both. Still a good deal IMHO. If the DVD coupon turns out to be a bust then I will adjust my title. Why not just worry about your time and let others worry about theirs. Save the passive-aggresive stuff for mom and the guy who hands you your fries and coke.

Went back to OM today and asked the manager about the rebate for the DVD drive.

She said that she confused the wording of the Cendyne rebate form ("$30 off Cendyne CD-RW/DVD-RW drives") to mean that there was a rebate on both the CD-RW and DVD drives as both were on sale in their latest ad. She apologized for the confusion and gave me a $10 coupon "for my trouble".

I have edited my original post to reflect this change, but if you need both drives (which bring your total high enough to use the 30 off 150 coupon) then this is still a very hot deal. Luke warm I suppose if you just need one or the other.

The only 30 off 150 coupon I could find has expired. Is ther another one floating around?? I did a search on Google, but found notta. If anyone has one please pm it to me!
