Cellphones...

Ok I have for a while not had a cell phone since mine is crappy and old. It was a '99 model and can't even send text messages. I want to get a new phone that has blue tooth or some sort of connectivity so that I can go online on my laptop. I need one with a nice screen and doesn't have to be a camera phone. Needs to beable to go on the web and use java games. Any suggestions? I was thinking of a PDA phone but they are too clunky... Maybe I should get a PDA separately...

yeah, you can go find the perfect phone, but unless the company you subscribe with (Cingular, Verizon, Sprint, Cricket, T-Mobil, etc) uses it, then your SOL. Easiest way to find out whats available is to go to each carriers mobile page and browse through there online catalogs first, just to see what you have to choose from.

I can choose from a Verizon phone, AT&T Wireless (Cingular),Cingular (Cingular) and T-Mobile? I have T-Mobile's WIFI thing for starbucks cafe's so I guess I could get them. The problem with these phones on CNET is that 1. Not all have bluetooth 2. some aren't flip phones, 3. I need a large screen, 4. I want a phone that is fully web capable, supports java etc.. USB? infrared? I want a fully featured phone/one to let me get online on my laptop where ever there is cell phone signal. Any U.S phones with broadband? Or is that strictly 3G?

one note: i have been exceedingly impressed with how nokias sync with pc. Their software syncs notes, contacts, and appointments seamlessly. Using 6820 (full kb) I get way more PDA type useage out of the phone than out of my palm pda.
