Cell providers that store text messages online?

Does anyone know if there are any cell providers out there which store your text messages online?

I am looking for a comprehensive text solution. PDAs can be synched with an email server, so that you can check your email messages both on your phone and on the server if you are logged into a computer somewhere. It's a lot faster typing emails from a computer too, if one is available.

What if the same could be done for text messaging?

Are there any providers that already offer something like this and are there any that are planning to do so?

Tmobile allows you to send text message to any tmobile customers only with your computer online but you have to recieve text message from your cell phone. I prefer to recieve text messages on my computer online instead and text message to anyone beside tmobile only customer.

I have an application on my G1 and automatically forwards my text messages to my gmail.

Alltel allows you to cc a copy of your texts to a email adresse or another phone #. I also used a program on WM called dashwire that you can use to backup and restore text messages along with other stuff.
