Can you just buy a mobile phone say from someone on forums and have it activated by your wireless provider - noting that they support and sell that particular phone model? Can it be a used phone?
 
if it supports sim cards, and ur service provider has sim cards, then yes...you can transfer your old sim card to your new phone
 
Yeah, you can do that... Doesnt need to use Sim cards either, they just activate the ID on the phone...

I did it just recently actually 🙂
