Hi, I have a cheap cellphone, a Samsung SGH-T139. The phone was working fine for about a year, but after the last time I recharged it, it just comes up to a screen with the model number of the phone and an error message in red, 3D010017. The keyboard lights are flashing also.
Does anyone know what happened and if there is any way to fix it??
Apparently this is a known issue with this phone, as there are several postings on the internet about the exact same problem. Unfortuately, no one had a workable solution. I thought someone in this more tech savvy group might have an answer.
I called Samsung tech service and got no help, just someone obviously going through a pre-written series of questions with a set of canned and worthless answers. Her main concern seemed to be that I had damaged the phone or did not know how to charge it properly. Should have told her I ran over it with a truck and wanted a replacement. Anyway, it is not a big disaster, but since I use the phone only for very occasional use or in case of emergency, I hate to have to buy another. I also would like to recover the photos on it and my contacts.
