I posted a couple of weeks ago about the possibility of my phone being cloned. The general consensus from a lot of you guys (thanks for the responses, btw) was that, yeah, SprintPCS was giving me the screw. I've called trying to resolve the matter, but that hasn't worked with them, so I'm resorting to a tactic of the old school: writing a physical letter :Q. I've drafted up a four page
Q) letter detailing the problems I am encountering. I am also attaching a list of family and friends who I've turned on to SprintPCS who will ride out their contract and then cancel if Sprint doesn't resolve the matter like they should.
What I'm asking from you guys is real simple. If you would like to help out and see that this kind of garbage doesn't happen to other customers (especially you
), could you PM me your name (first initial and last name at least), your SprintPCS phone area code (or whole Sprint phone number, but I understand the reservations about that) and your date of contract termination (month and year are fine)? I'll include your name on the list and will notify you about how this gets resolved. If it's resolved well (ie, I get my money back), you'll have my undying appreciation
. If they give me the "tough luck" approach, you don't have to cancel with them, but just keep it in the back your mind that this could happen to you, too.
And if you're not with SprintPCS but were thinking about switching to them, you can still help. Just PM me your name, present cell phone company, and month and year of contract termination and I'll be happy to include you in my letter.
Many thanks to all of you AT'ers! Wish me luck!
PS: I think this is the type of nightmare us Hot Dealers have. "HOT!!! SprintPCS turns cell phones into wallet vacuums FREE!!! (no PM, no MIR)"
