Go to those phone stores opened by chinese in San Garbriel, Alhambra, Monterey Park, etc. Most are selling 8290 for free, even no need to pay sales tax.
 
I have the cingular home rate 300 plan...
This is probably one of the best plans in recent months... Unlimited Nights and Weekends definitely is a great aspect of the plan. I highly recommend this plan, especially those of you who live up in Northern Cali but go to school in LA. I have a bay area number, and with this free long distance, I can call back home for free as well as get called for free.

YodaYoda... its obviously you must have been rejected from UCLA... Let me go out and venture that you're probably at some second rate college (USC perhaps?)
 
yea i just got one of those cingular deals. except we got the 3390's for the family plan. They only give you the 8290 if you open separate accounts. Still pretty good tho IMO. 3 free phones...no tax! Well, seeing how I still love my 6190 and is working fine, I returned one of those phones and they gave me $100 back. the phone is probably worth more than $100, but eh I can't complain about the deal.

is there anyway i can keep my fone number, get a "lateral promotion" if you will and get that cursed free night and weekends, and buy a new phone or something?
i want a 3390 or 8290, and i want free night and weekends, and i wanna keep my fone number!!!
 
Hey everyone,
I was looking into cell phone deals, and I was wondering what everyone thought was the best deal right now. I called around Monterey Park and other places and I found that since Cingular took over they do not offer free 8290s anymore. If anyone knows of a deal for a good phone and under $30 service could you post here? Thanks.
 
no, i got a full tuition scholarship to go to USC. ESAD ih8dodgers. guess what else, i LOVE the dodgers. well, at least the dodgers before FOX rolled it and screwed it all up.
