The A310 isn't too bad, I just got it a month ago and it seems my Nokia 5xxx (IIRC that's what the model # starts with) had better reception than the Samsung did. Overall I still like it except when I get a long distance call, it doesn't display who is calling just the number. Normally it would match the number with whats in the address book and show the name, but since in the address book I have 1-555 as the area code to make my calls, it comes in just with 555.

Let me know if you want any more info or features about it.

Oh and if you play 'Push' and get past level 13, tell me how you did it! Stuck there for 3 weeks now.

Try taking the one out of the phone book. You generally don't ever need to dial the one on a cell phone call.

I just got my A310 today from Radio Shack for $49.99+tax theres a $25 rebate. Offer ends tomorrow...

For anyone that has the A310 how is the battery life?

If mine can't find a service, it goes out in no time. When the phone is on but not being used, couple of days easily, with a few calls in there too.

Where at? My coverage is excellent (rarely goes below 4 bars even in buildings / underground basements)

Also - You'd be surprised at what a difference your phone model makes in getting/keeping connection... its not always the cell providers fault..

I have ATT wireless (TDMA service) and I've been really happy with the service. I very rarely get a dropped call and if I do, it's because I'm in a building. I'm thinking about getting a GSM phone, but I've read a few people say their coverage isn't so good for that network right now.

If you go with T-Mobile, check out Amazaon.com for some good deals on phones.

I'm near Hartford. Imagine a corridor between New York and Boston with Hartford in the middle. That's where things are kind of built up. Nextels work fine in this corrider, but if I go like 30 miles east or west of it I lose service. There are also a lot of "holes" in that corridor. This may be normal in other parts of the country, but it shouldn't be in New England and NY. We have some of the densest population and industry in the country. Also, my wife has a Verizon and it works pretty much everywhere the Nextel doesn't.

phone slike this are why i have really put off getting one. all they need to do is let you tale. have voicemail and text messages. nothing more
