Which company is generally the best for CLEAR Calls? Is it more based on the Cell phone you have or is it the network you are on?
Are not some of the networks the same, or is it just one big network of towers that companies lease a chunck of? i.e. cingular + att, sprint + nextel.

I use nextel currently for business, and its not a good 'cell phone' IMHO.
Im considering purchasing a razr for simplicity, looks, and the way it charges (usb port) since im alway around a PC.

I have Cingular, and I have no problems with it almost anywhere I go (I travel around the country for my job)

Verizon is usually the best, but it depends somewhat on where you live and what your travel requirements all. Cingular is also decent, but their customer service drove me away from them a few years ago.

verizon and sprint. reception is clear and typically get good coverage. their phone lineup may not be the greatest, but i just tell myself its a phone first and all of those novelty features wear out their welcome usually within the first week.

I would say Verizon, although i am a bit biased.

Their network is great, but it also depends on your phone and how up to date you are with the PRL's.

When and if Nextel's radio and Sprint's coverage get merged, they will be hard to compete with.

Sprint and Verizon's coverage are the best around here, they seem to be about equal.

T-Mobile's technology and coverage leave a lot to be desired.

AT&T phones have a lot of bars, but no real service.

You need to look as service maps at the cell phone stores before you make a decision.

I use Verizon, I love their tower service, but their customer service leaves much to be deisired. It seems you get a different story policy for everyone you talk to. But I guess that's the standard now a days..
