Cell Phone Plan

90% of the day, I'm somewhere where I'd have access to a landline or my e-mail -- so I'm only looking for a plan for emergency purposes or occasional use. Any idea what the best bet for me is? A prepaid plan maybe? Any specific carriers?

Oh, and is it better to buy the phone separately from the plan?

just get a prepaid cell - Virgin Mobile ( uses Sprint's network ). They usually have a deal where you can get a basic cell phone online ($20 and up I think) that comes with a free $20 refill card. You just have to fill it up every 3 months with at least $20 to keep the account active - so $80 a year.
