any of the new phones 'lock' like a blackberry locks after a period of time, such that you have to log in? I'd like for the phone to be able to lock either via time passed or dynamically. hate it when people scroll your dialed list and address book.

think my SE T610 has this. never bother to use it tho. if you live in the dorms, just take your phone with you.

AFAIK you have to manually lock or unlock the phone.

locking it... well everyone can unlock..

also locking it does not allow the phone to be used... just like to secure the phonebook and 'log' features of the phone...

Some Siemens models have Protected SIM phonebook that requires a password. If the phone is not locked, people can use the phone and the numbers in the normal phonebook will still be accessible, but they will not be able to access the protected phonebook.

you're thinking keypad lock, not what he was talking about. i don't know about your phone, but my LG VX4400 let's me lock the phone that requires a 4 digit password to unlock.
