If I move to CO from PA and keep my existing cell #, will people from calling from CO be calling long distance? Or does it not work that way with cell phones?
It will be considered a local call for people whom it was a local call before you moved. And it will be long distance for anyone in PA. Long distance is a fairly silly concept these days.
It shouldn't be an issue. I've had my Western NY number for years. 2 years in Florida and now over a year in Nevada and nobody has ever complained that calling me is long distance.
If most people are calling you from their cell phones, or from landlines with free long distance, then they wont care. If they are on an ancient landline plan that they pay for long distance, then they will need to.
