Verizon sadly hit the nail right on the head. If a cell/PDA becomes mainstream, it will be a cell with PDA features. Useability is essential, and i's a heck of a lot easier to talk on a phone than a PDA.
The Kyocera PDq has been out for a while in varying forms. The older models have been Palm IIIs with phone addons. Unfortunately, they've been outrageously expensive and bulky.
Sprint PCS now offers the LG TouchPoint 3000 (http://www.lge.com/eng/product/e_ci/ci_1/lgi_3000w.shtml).
When my PDA's synch capabilites fizzled out last week, I started looking at this model. Lightweight, built-in speakerphone, appears to be a good unit. I just can't find enough specs about it (how much RAM in MB, can it hold files, connection to PC, etc.).
Microsoft has Stringer phones (PocketPC + phone) on the way. Trium Mondo and one from Sager are already available in Europe. Since the perfect PDA phone is not available, seeing the Stinger phones will make me wait a little while.
