i'm on verizon now, and am thinking of switching to AT&T so i could switch phones with the SIM card. . Two prerequisites are have an incredible battery life, and not be a POS that will break if i sit down while it's in my pocket. I use about 400 minutes a month, and send about 100-200 texts. In terms of the batterylife, i currently charge about once a week, and i'm fine like that. I'm looking for something similar.

The phone i really like on the verizon side was the EnV..... anytning similar offered by at&T? the only thing i saw was the "protec duo" which got terrible reviews on the battery...

suggestions?

If you're looking for a good phone with a QWERTY keypad, AT&T is not the service provider for you.

He said he wants something that IS NOT a POS. iPhone fails there.

POS How?

The iPhone would not be a good choice because it's battery life will not last as long as you want it to.

Why switch companies? I have the EnV, while it is not the greatest thing since sliced bread, it does do everything I could ever want in a phone. Finding a case that suits me was the hardest part I dealt with. I absolutely hate those cases that clip to your belt that the phone slides in and out of. I would be afraid that I might drop it while it is out of the case. I ended up buying a slip over case on ebay for a few dollars and it I couldn't be happier. Sim cards are nice sure, but is the AT&T network that much better than Verizon? I am asking because I honestly don't know.

MicroSD, bluetooth, qwerty keyboard, camera, downloads, mp3 player, GPS, calendar.... I've used them all, no complaints. .. Well actually, the camera is not the best, but I usually don't use that so no big deal. The battery life is so-so, I am currently running at about 2 charges a week. In my opinion, the plug for the headphone is in an odd place but like the camera, I don't use headphones so who cares? I think there is a new EnV out, or coming out soon might want to look into that before jumping ship to AT&T..

FYI, buying a phone fromATT, they will not unlock the phone for you to use on other networks, Tmobile will though. But ATT does have the LG Vu.
