Maybe it's been my phones over the years,

But rarely do I ever get a "beep" or some sort of audio confirmation that a call has been lost.

You would think that technological advancement would warrant something being built directly into the phone, and not the network, that would notify me when the call is no longer in play.

I'm tired as shit of going on and on, only to realize the call ended last week.

/rant.

Anyone have proper notification on their phone? I'm using a droid bionic.

I've seldom had dropped calls, so a notification wouldn't be that useful. If you talk for long periods without audio confirmation, perhaps you should change your conversation style. You sound like some girlfriends I had in the past that talked just to hear themselves make noise.

My wife likes to blab on and on then make long pauses causing me to say "hello" to make sure she is still on the other end.

It could be useful to know if the call is disconnected.

My phone will beep and give me a message on screen if a call has been dropped or disconnected.

Sounds like you just make generalizations based on the small sample size of your own phone.

And lxskllr is probably right, you are probably one of those people who dominate a conversation where you speak for the better part of 90% of the conversation. Therefore, there's no time for you hear a beep or notice that the other person has been disconnected.

Wow.

I sometimes forget the ridiculous personal attacks people give and get on this forum.

I don't over-talk, nor do I not listen to phone calls.

And I am not the first person who has complained about not having a phone network disconnect beep in a conversation.

Have a nice day.

LOL chill bro.

You've been here long enough to realize that when you post something ridiculous like your OP, you will get ridiculous responses.

Besides, you even said it yourself:

I'm tired as shit of going on and on

Which makes it sound like you are someone who dominates a conversation by speaking 90% of the time.

No, what I posted was not ridiculous. And you're being a dick.

Most people, when they hear silence on one end of the phone and they are speaking, they assume that the other party is listening. At some point, regardless of the length of that person's conversation, they stop and say "hello? are you there?"

A beep would have been nice at any point of that call.

If you haven't experienced this, that means that you have nothing to say to anyone on the other end.

Always get "boop boop boop" when the call drops on my AT&T iPhone 4.

...except when the face sensor glitches and it thinks I tapped "End Call" intentionally.

proper response would have been

"hello, hello, honey you still there? Damn phone dropped again."

Maybe they get tired of not being able to get a word in and hang up on you, or you're talking over the beep.

My iPhone always beeps when a call is dropped.

Probably this. I don't have time for BS so I often interrupt the other person and say something like "I'd love to chat but I really need to get going" then hang up before they have a chance to say anything.
