Cell Phone Broke and still have the contract till next April , but already over the one year of warranty. What to do??? (Toronto)

How did you break the phone? Yesterday I went swimming with my boss and he left his cell phone in his shorts. Needless to say the phone was ruined.

Actually, I've heard that if you dry it out and possible run a blow drier on it for a while with low heat, it could work again.

I've done it with a pager, but never a cell phone, after washing it with some pants.
