Cell phone and internet connection???

Does anyone know if us cellular allows this? I have a StarTAC phone and Motorola sells a kit to do it with for my phone and it hooks up to my laptop but they said be sure that your provider allows cdma network access. Well uscell does use cdma network access according to the person i talked to there but then they followed up and said they do not allow connecting to the internet how can they stop it? Then they told me they even sold the kit to do it with...... why do that if you don?t allow the use of it? Can someone tell me if they have it and have it working? The kit Motorola pn is 98193. Anyone else have the experience in doing this at all with any phone and service provider? I use to do this through uscell for remote access to work but it was a very old phone. ?brick type? and it worked fine just slow.

Thanks.

I use Motorola v60c with my laptop to access the internet, and everything works fine. My cell provider is Verizon Wireless (CDMA).

Here is how I do it. I have Motorola Data Connectivity Kit, which consists of data cable (USB) and Motorola drivers. I connect my v60c phone via USB and once drivers are installed, Windows recognizes my phone as a regular dial-up modem. After that I just use DialUp Networking to connect to my ISP and from there I can browse around and check my email.

I hope this helps.
