you might want to e-mail or call compaq and ask them what upgrade path is available.

Also you can download CPU-Z and check what chipset you have. If you have 845 derivative then you can upgrade to 2.4, 2.53, 2.66, 2.80 and 3.06 with 533mhz FSB. If you have 865 then any p4 cpu right now.
