Hi all,

I have been having some very interesting problems with my celeron 533a comp.

Stats:
MB: CUBX
VIDEO: VooDoo 3 3000 (agp)
NIC: Linksys 100
HD: Western Digital 7200 10gig

I overclocked the celeron to 800 by running the fsb at 100mhz for a while, but at the time the troubles appeared, I was running it at normal speed(533,66). When I get on the internet and download a somewhat graphical page, the screen refresh seems to discontinue, and the next page blends in with the last one. After a few clicks, even ctrl-alt-delete does not seem to work. Major problems seemed to happen when I tried to play tachyon, a highly graphical 3-d space shoot-em game. There everything would freeze moments after the mouse would stop working...I only recently installed a case fan, but with the MB software temp guages, I never saw a hot MB or chip. It maxed out at 41 degrees celcius. Now, with the case fan, there seems to be no difference. Help!!!

When you overclock this, did you up the voltage at all? If no, then up the voltage a little(2.5% or 5%). If you did then check out how hot your video card is getting? One other thing to check is your power supply...if you upped the bus to 100mhz, then you are consuming more power. Can you PS take it?

I have a 250w power supply, and have done all the voltages from 150 to 165v increments of 5v, and have been told that the voodoos always run hot...And the key is that I am having problems with the default speed too...
