this is kind of a weird question, but i was just comparing some temperatures my friend and i were getting.
my system is an asus p3v4x with a Celeron FCPGA 533a@800 1.65v. right now my case temp is around 25 deg C, and my CPU is around 34 deg C. it goes around 38-39 on 100% load i think. i use a Golden Orb to cool it with some arctic silver as thermal grease.
my friend has a P3 on a Soyo mobo. its a 700mhz@933mhz, and he uses a Slot version of the P3. his temperatures according to the mobo monitor is case around 28-29, and his CPU 27 deg C. he uses a Slot version of hte GOlden Orb with thermal grease.
i don't understand why there is a temperature difference like this. his processor is overclocked like mine, and we both use golden orbs and thermal grease. both of us cleaned our heatsinks with degreasers and stuff to get rid of residue, etc. is there a reason why mine is hotter than his? i know my temps are in spec, but just wondering why since cooler the better. hehe.
