It's not a switch between 115W and 230W, it's a switch between 115V and 230V. If you live in North America or anyplace that uses 110V power, leave it at 110V. If you live where it's 230V power, switch to that. You will not get any extra power from switching it from 115V to 230V... Wishful thinking though!
