I have a Cel566 running 850 on my Abit ZM6 (with newestBIOS upgrade) and it runs beautifully. However, I've tried two of the newer (1.7v)
(yes, the board does support that voltage)Celeron 600's but only get a black screen and nothing else.
When I pop the 566 back in, everything is fine.

Are there some compatibility issues between these two?

According to ABIT's board, its latest BIOS is suppose to support the Cel600 FC-PGA.

the older abit boards don't support cC0 stepping processors. i bet that 600 is cC0. check to see if it has Sl4NX or SL4PB. if so then it's cC0. if you want a cB0 600 make sure you buy one with the sSpec SL3W8 or SL46U. that's all i can think of.

Yes, it is the SL4NX series. Apparently, I'm sunk.
Thanks for the prompt reply. Appreciated!
