celeron 300a and NEW bx motherboard

ok I am about to inherit a 300a and am wondering if the msi BXmaster is going to work with it. if not what will .By the way its coming off of an ABIT bx6 rev 2 Its been oclocked @ 450 for the last year .

Kavrok, I don't know why not. I got an even older one, the celeron 266 and that one has been able to run on BH6 1.0, BE6-2, and I also saw it working fine (at 400 Mhz) on the Asus CUBX, so I think the BXmaster won't be a problem.

btw, on the MSI USA page ( http://www.msicomputer.com/products/detail.asp?ProductID=112) is stated :

CPU:
Support all Intel(R) Pentium(R) II/III & CeleronTM / Coppermine processor up to 700MHz and faster

Thanks I hope it'll work at least for a while till i can get something a little more up to date
