Because I just got it to work just goofing around. It's at default voltage and has the normal heatsink\fan on it, nothing special. I ran 3dmark 2000 and the 3dmark video things i just found, and it hasn't had any freeze ups or anything. its on a bx6 motherboard. my only problem is i downloaded a motherboard monitor from somewhere, but it cant seem to find the motherboard heat sensors. I went into the softmenu and it says the system temp is 90 degrees F, and CPU heat is N/A. what can I do to find out if im making my system too hot?

touch the heatsink. but be careful...if its pretty hot then u better downclock it or else get a better heatsink fan. if its barely warm then uve got a good chip.

Looks like you found a magic chip!

The BX6 does not have the capability of reading the CPU temperature. If you are running at default voltage, I wouldn't worry about heat at all. 90degree case temp is fine.

I touched the heatsink and it was barely warm. Thanks, for the help guys, this is pretty cool. I was surprised cause I just got this chip to finish my upgrade. My last chip was a celeron 300a that I couldn't get stable at 450. I guess the second chip's the charm.
