** Celeron 1000 running again!

Well, after two months of downtime, my Celeron 1000 is running again....I'm actually posting from it now. For $2.00, I replaced all 7 of the 1000 uF Capacitors (6.3 volts) with new 1000uF 35 volt models (bigger too 😀). It seems to run fine now...but it was rebooting at the slightest CPU load before. So for $2.00 + the cost of a new Celeron, I can get another 1GHz system running!

I pulled the Celeron from another PC...so all I have to do is buy a new one (Non Tulatin) and another 1GHz full time for the TeAm! 😀

more..more...more! :Q

Anyone have a FCPGA Celeron or PIII (900MHz to 1.1GHz) that needs a home cheap....before I go look around? 🙂

Nice cheap repair 🙂 ,I thought about doing it on my fathers old Abit KA7 ,but I just couldn't solder joints that small so I just told him to bin it (other day).
Must of been over 1/2 a dozen capacitors blown! (apparently the Abit KA7 got a duff batch of 'em) .The CPU was ok ,I sold that🙂
