Will this CPU run on this motherboard? So far I am not having any luck at all. LMK if this is supposed to work, especially if you have any experience with this CPU/board combination.

Thanks!

The BM6 only supports cB0 stepping CPU's, and I believe the 667MHz is a cC0 stepping. It will work if you buy a Powerleap NEO adaptor, but if you go that route, get a PIII to go with it.

Hey. My chip is an SL4AB, a cB0 chip not a cC0 chip. Could something else be the problem? The seller was running a 566 @ 850 on this board, and the chip is brand new retail.

???

Is the 10x multiplier possibly the difficulty?

Hmm..thats interesting, then in theory it should work unless the BM6 won't support the 10x multiplier. I'll asume you have the latest bios? I had a BM6 once, and my Gf has one with a 566@850 I just put in for her, but I can't remember how high the multiplier will go.
Maybe the CPU is not at fault here.

The multiplier shouldn't matter, since it's locked in the CPU. The motherboard cannot (and doesn't need to) change it.

Only guess I have is to be sure you have the latest BIOS installed...

Allrightie... I will pull the old PPGA Cel366 off the wifie's PC and fire the mobo up to see what BIOS she's running with. Thanks for the suggestions, guys.
