Anyone have a link for the original trick, you know, whatever idiot did it right and inspired this idiot to copy it with the brilliant as usual idea of recording oneself in the act (so you can brag if you get it right. Hell I'd do the same...).

And we know the countless mass of morons out there inspired this idiot to post his failure online, but why dammit?!

What is the width of the gap from blade to blade when they are stationary?
Probably only 1.5-2 head widths. That fan RPM is like 150.
His attempt is impossible.
 
At least he had the good sense to record it for everyone else to get a laugh at his expense.
