i've been staring at this problem (which seems rather trivial) for the past half hour. i was just hoping someone could point me in the right direction, or further than that.
just break down each member into x and y components, then you'll have a buttload of equations and a buttload of unknowns and you can solve in a matrix using a calculator.
If you need exact help still just ask. I have a feeling that since you asked at 3 a.m. it is too late now so I don't want to go through it.
AeroGuy has it right.... remember that each member can only support axial loads. Start by finding the reaction loads at the supports using Newton's Law on the whole structure. Then, at each pin, apply Newton's Law.... You will eventually write a LOT of equations. You may not have to resort to matrix solutions--you may be able to find them individually. 🙂
ok, here's what i did. i found the moment about pin A so that i could find the Fy component on F. from the Fyi first found the forces going through joint F, then joint E, then Joint G, to finally get DG. but, i think i'm wrong because i got 0.223 kN as a final answer, and it's really bugging me.
