CNN clip on offshore labor: http://blade.rit.edu/uns/022304_cnnRonHira.asx
The slashdot discussion: http://slashdot.org/articles/04/03/24/2322236.shtml?tid=103&tid=146&tid=99
In short, I'm a CE major at RIT and I had no idea the job market was on the downslide. I do know that CE's have been taking jobs as Software Engineers and the like but this is to be expected if that is your interest.
Someone pointed out that lower enrollment may be due to restrictions on foreign students entering the country.
Well hopefully in 3 years when I graduate there will be a shortage again
btw I've heard it said that primarily IT, support, and menial programming jobs were the ones mostly outsourced?
Your thoughts?
