On Spring Break I was going through the CDs that my friend brought and I found the Limp Bizkit CD. Needless to say I confronted him about having such filth in his CD case and he didn't know where the CD came from. He agreed that Limp Bizkit sucks and the CD wasn't his so we decided to microwave the CD.
Damn cool lightshow :D

Man, I did that in my Video Production class, in the TEACHER's microwave...hahaha..(we DID ask him, and he had a confused look on his face, but said it was ok to put cds in the microwave) anyways, after they spark and crack an all that, smoke starts pouring out of the microwave while the door is still shut, and scares the crap out of you. starts smelling like crap (really really strong smelling crap) so you stop it, open the door and run outside. We did it several times ;) We also did it with grapes...damn thoise are cool! Cut a grape (might have to be green grapes) lengthwise but leave a strip of "skin" attached at the bottom of the cut, and stick it in face up (flat sides up) but still attached in the microwave, set it for 25 seconds, and sparks galore...also smells like crap

It does. My roommate this year made about a dozen and a half coasters throughout the year. Towards the end of the semester, we fried them all in the hall microwave. Turned off all the lights in the kitchen and let 'em cook.

Hey, it's better than doing popcorn bombs. :p

Ever put a bag of popcorn in the microwave for 15 minutes? Hehehe. It stinks.

My roommate last year was telling me one time about his brother and his friends doing that. They'd go a few floors up, put the bag in the microwave for 10-15 minutes and then leave. Said the whole hall would stink for several days.

Oh. I'd rather just eat the popcorn. :)

You get the best light show from the CDs before the smoke really starts pouring anyway, so you won't necessarily stink up the place too bad.

It actually just wrinkles the foilish stuff and can make the cd sorta wavy and brittle but its pretty nice anyway i think. The microwave does a better job and looks better though.

be carefull not to inhale too much of those fumes, i read they're really bad for you, another thing that i thought looked sweet was; take a toothpick, light the tip on fire then blow it out so the tip is glowing red, then i stuck it into an eraser so it would stand up and nuke it in the microwave, I had fireballs floating around in the microwave, it was sweet
