I've done that before. Or take the open one to Best Buy and say the disc is defective and you'd like to exchange it for a new copy. As long as you didn't scracth the disc or anything, so it still looks brand new, they'll let you exchange it.

Serves you right for shopping at walmart.

Precisely. I haven't bought anything from them in 3 years. They can eat my d1ck.

You just gotta know what to buy. Their video games are pretty good, and they carry some good dvd's for good prices. Everything but their music isn't bad.

Makes sense.

How did you NOT know that Walmart only sells edited CDs?

Same here! They sell Airsoft handguns too, which are always fun to shoot your friends in the asses with. Airsoft, $5.99 bargain bin DVD's and a huge bottle of bubbles can make for a fun night on a low budget.

I wonder if it would work...
I'm the evil walmart worker you hate. I would open the new cd in front of you to prove to you that there was no scratches on it:D

The only non edited CD that I've ever seen is the Lisa Marie Presley. There was a complaint from some guy who claimed the f word was in the lyrics a bunch of times so our store manager told us to take it off the shelf. Eventually we put it back but with a big ass sign announcing it was unedited. If there is anything slightly racy or adult in nature we will get a complaint about it, every single time.

biffbacon - Walmart does carry Old School, Road Trip, etc., but they are the R-rated versions and not the unrated ones that other stores (e.g. Best Buy) has. However, Walmart simply decides not to have some movies, such as Jackass.

Same thing goes for DVD's. They won't carry unrated DVD's. For example...Old School, American Pie, Road Trip...They'll only carry the R rated versions.

i just got old school there last week

yeah...but you got the R-rated version. Everywhere else like BestBuy, Circuit City have the unrated edition.

they stuck a copy of "the wall 2000" in with the pink floyd records. i thought it was a newly remastered version of the wall, put it in the cd player, found it wasn't the right one, and of course i couldn't return it.

everyone who has ever legitimately wanted to return a cd should file a lawsuit against the RIAA just to piss them off

Is that a good CD? I don't have many Pink Floyd cover bands.

its the worst thing i've ever heard. i can't believe i actually sat through like 3 tracks. theres no such thing as a good pink floyd cover.

I beg to differ. Les Claypool's Fantastic Flying Frog Brigade covered the entire Animals album during one of their live sets and released it as an album. It's pretty tight.
