CDRWIN not recognizing cd recorder

I recently installed a Phillips 20x CD-RW in my brother's pc. When I try to use CDRWIN it says that there are no cd recorders on the computer. Instead, it shows it in the cd reader tab. Nero is working fine. Is there a way to fix this?

i think u need to put a .dll in the winnt folder.
its called wnaspi32.dll

this may fix the problem.
edit: i assume your using win2k/xp?

I had this same problem with Ez-CD creator 4 when I first installed XP, but I went to the Roxio site and got a patch that fixed everything.

You probably need a newer version of CDRWIN.

Get the latest version of CDRWin, 3.8g.

You need to install the ASPI driver that you can get on Golden Halks site.
