I am using nero burning rom with a tdk 24X cdrw before i upgraded from a amd xp 1500 to a p4 2.2 the user read buffer

was always at a constant 100% and now since i upgraded it constantly goes to 0-25-45-70-100%

is there a way i can optimize my nero or burner.

thanks

Have you checked to see if DMA is enabled on all devices and not stuck on PIO mode?

Open up Device Manager (system properties) and click on Primary or Secondary IDE channels. You should see your device listed on one of the tabs and its current transfer settings.
