CDRW: Plextor VS Creative

you might want to look into Plextor's 16/10/40A drive as I don't think that it is that more expensive than the 12x drive.

I've seen the Creative drive, and although most of you would vouch for the Plextor, I think there is something here that needs investigating. The faceplate on the creative 12/10/32 is EXACTLY as that of the plextor, includes burnproof, and is specced exactly the same too. Funny co-incidence, no? In fact, it shares exactly the same similarities that the iomega 12/10/32 drive, now KNOWN to be a rebadged plextor. I actually own a Plextor 12/10/32A and am more than happy with it. I will say that the Plextor is reliable, fast, and easy. But don't scrub creative off the cards just yet. I'm not saying go out and test it for us all, but jsut be aware of this. I'm positive the creative drive has burnproof also...
