CDRW not burning...

Ok, well.. all of a sudden, my CDRW has stopped reading CD-R and CD-RW discs alltogether, and refuses to burn in Windows, or using Nero. What are some things I could check to see what's wrong? Any help's appreciated.
 
We need more info. What is the cd-rw model.

Does the cd-r unit show up in my computer? Does the device show up but you can't read any disks of any type? What is the error message that you may be getting.

Also check that the device is plugged in firmly and correctly with the power connector and the IDE cable.
