CDRW/DVD Combos question

I am in need of both a DVD drive and a CDRW, I have never upgraded. I know, hard to believe. Anyway, I noticed that they now make a CDRW/DVD combo drives. Multiple companies appear to make them, Samsung, Phillips, etc. Are these any good, or should I buy two separate drives? Thanks

If you go for seperate drives, you can make direct backup copies of any CD's you want. If you already have a CD Drive, then a combi might do just as well, however I think their speeds are slightly slower than you would get if you went for seperate burners and DVD drives (ie: max speeds availavble for the respective drives). Go for a combi if you don't need 2 seperate drives for copies, or if you already have a cd drive you're going to keep.
