My CDRW and DVD drives aren't showing up on my PC. I had my TDK 52x CDRW plugged in and so was my Pioneer DVD but the power wasn't plugged in because of some experimental things (it hadn't been plugged in for a long while now) and since I got my TDK 52x burner to work perfectly normal again, and I got my Logitech Elite Duo, I took my PC out, installed the Logitech Elite Duo (well plug in the stuff) and plug in the power to the DVD and that's it. Now when I turn it on, the status light for both the DVD and CDRW are SOLID green, non-blinking...
I tried to go to CMOS and reset to fail-safe defaults and nothing. I know this should be in computer hardware help but I really need the exposure and help.

Anyone PLEASE?
Thanks!

As for the optical drives, check the jumpers. For the sound, I have no idea. Did you change some settings or software that might have affected the soundcard?

Well I finally found out that I have a half-bad motherboard.
That's the problem =(
Well, time for me to get the 8RDA+ ... wanted that for awhile but just never got to get it. heh
BTW, would the 8RDA+ (NForce2-based) be compatiable with the future AMD hammers (I think they're 64-bits)

Unfortunelty it will not support the future Athlon64 chips (the hammer). It requires a new socket and also is a different design then traditional cpus (ie the memory controller is part of the cpu on the hammer)

But other than that, its a really good board, lot of ppl are happy with it
