djhango - LOL! you are right about acer tech support. they got idiots working there. i called them up since i have a problem burning audio cds with one of those clearance acer 8x4x32's for 80.00@staples and the moron techsupport guy informed me that you are unabl to burn audio at greater than 2x NO MATTER WHAT. and that its the same even if you are using plextor. bullsh*t!!! i've seen on other forums that people are burning audio at 12x on plextors, teacs, sony's, etc with ease. its just that acer junk are all POS! to further top it off, this same guy told me that in a 8x4x32 burner, the first number reflects how fast it burns data and the 2nd number reflects how fast it burns audio at! HAHAHHAH!!!!!
i mean c'mon, i'm not saying that i'm a genius at hardware by *any* means, but why put someone in techsupport if they cant even read the label on the box correctly let alone try to troubleshoot technical problems??!!

can you imagine what other stuff this guy must say to other people?
btw, acer is just a POS hardware.. i went and got the sony 12x8x32 at compusa and it burns audio at 12x without any skipping or static. very clean burn.
kimagurealex - my brother has a '97 honda accord , but not the v6 model, and all the audio cd's we make works fine on his car. i've noticed that the brand makes a difference too. in my kenwood deck on my 1st car it would not read hi-val cdrs but reads TDK cdrs just fine. in my clarion deck on my current car, it reads both the hival and tdk cdrs. (the kenwood was an entry model unit@$130 , the clarion was@$300) guess that old saying 'you get what you pay for' holds true in this case.....
