I doubt you'll find a tutorial on the web about it - it's too easy for anyone to bother making one.

- Turn off computer, unplug and remove case.
- Remove old drive (Phillips screw driver involved) and note jumper positions and what they correspond to. They will either be in the MA (master), SL (slave), or CS (Cable Select) position.
- Position jumper accordingly on new drive and install. You will need the IDE cable, power and perhaps an audio cable to the sound card.
- Reassemble and boot. Drive should be recognized during boot.
- When things blow up, post here.

It's not hard at all.
Depending on your case, you might have rails that are attatched to the cd-rom with clips on the front. push the clips towards the inside and slide the cd-rom out enough so that you can remove the cables at the back. If it's not on rails you will have screws on both sides and will have to take off the sides of the case to get at them.
You will have 2 cables on the back of the cd-rom, and possibly a third. The first is the power cable (yellow/black /and red wires).
The plug is notches on top so it only fits in one way.
The next is the ide cable (thin flat one). It will have a red stripe on one side. this indicates the #1 pin. this side of the cable usually goes towards the power cable. most of these cables also have a bump in the middle of the connector to correspond with a groove in the connecting slot on the cd-rom. the third is a thin wire that connects to your sound card. this allaws you to play music cd's on your system. You may or may not have this 3rd wire.
