CDR Disc Burning Speed

I read before about a prog that tells you the maximum burning speed of a CDR disc when you insert it into your CDR drive.

Can somebody please give me more info or a link to the program? Thanks

David

ok, this may sound stupid, but doesn't your burner software tell you at what speed it can burn a CD? I use NERO and I use a NEC 7800 16x and a Lite-on 24x. Depending on the burner NERO will burn my PNY 16x CDs at 4x (NEC) or 24x Lite-on.

Based on this I think a software that tells you at what max speed a CD can be burnt (theoretically!) is useless. It will depend on your burner and how well it can handle the CDs.

i dont really think it can "tell" it just burns at the max speed it can, and if u get some errors... slow it down...

most 16x can do 24x even 32...

just get some good quality media

<------( i know this wasn't the question though)..😛

Just buy some Verbatim 32x CDR's or Kodak CDR-Ultima 24X, I have friends that have burned both of these dics @ 40x without a problem
