I think the best deal in terms of quality CD-Rs is the K-Mart Fuji discs for $15.00. These should be Taiyo Yudens.

i bought imation and didn't like them for music anyway. i bought a spindle from compusa and when you play them on a good stereo, there is a little "blip" (not sure what to call it) like you hear when you used to play an old vinyl record. that goes for the whole cd and i have tried a lot of the cd's i have burned and they all do it on a quality player. i bought the Fugi 100pk deal and that sound is gone and will never buy anything but TY's again. just my 2 cents
 
staples has pny technology cdr 1x-16x neon 25pack for $11.30 buy 3 of them and use the $10 off $30 coupon so you can get 75 neon cdr's for under $25 and these are good quality.

but the TDK are not TY's, you can find lower quality cd's cheaper than that even.
 
as they say dont go buy the cover the pny cdr i bought i thought they were plane the cover shows them as plane when i opened it they had PNY and stff printed on it. I cant even use labels to write on it and staples refused to take it back.
